Parijat, Harsingar, Night-Flowering Jasmine (50 70 cm)

Bring the scent of an Indian evening garden to your home with the Parijat plant, also known as Harsingar, Coral Jasmine, or Night-Flowering Jasmine. At dusk, it opens clusters of small, star-shaped white flowers with bright orange-red centers, and it fills the air with a sweet fragrance. By morning, the blossoms have fallen, leaving a soft white carpet beneath the plant.

Parijat is a sacred plant in Hindu tradition and is widely used in worship and offerings. It is also a good ornamental, with rough, deep green leaves and an easy-growing habit. Over time it can grow into a large shrub or small tree, so it works well as a fragrant hedge, a patio or balcony specimen, or a centerpiece in a garden.
