Portulaca grandiflora, also known as Rose Moss or Sun Plant, is a spreading, red-stemmed annual with clusters of cylindrical, fleshy, bright green leaves up to 2.5 cm long. During summer, it produces vibrant single or double flowers in shades of rose-pink, red, yellow, white, and more—sometimes striped or flecked with a contrasting color. ‘Sundance Hybrid’ varieties are semi-trailing and bloom with large, semi-double or double flowers up to 5 cm across in a wide range of bright tones.
